The 4th year Visual Communication students from DIT will host a fundraiser exhibition in Little Green Street Gallery on Tuesday 6th of March.
Admission is €5.

Posters will be on sale and there will be live music later on in the evening from “Arms That Fit Like Legs”

All funds raised will go towards the student graduate show.

Crafting Type: The Power of Language and the Hands That Craft it, is an exhibition taking place between 8th and 12th of March. Curated by Orlaith Ross the exhibition will cross the divide between craft and design.

The launch will take place on Thursday 8th of March, 2012 at The Factory, Barrow Street, Dublin 4  at 6pm with Professor John McMillan, School of Art and Design, University of Ulster and Education Officer, International Society of Typographic Designers.

This exhibition showcase will feature ten artists who place craft at the heart of their work and take inspiration from the written word, transforming typography and lettering using traditional and contemporary techniques in unexpected ways.
